Frequently Asked Questions
Clarity builds confidence. Here are answers to the questions families ask most.
How do I know which program is right for my dog?
Every family and every dog is unique. During your consultation, I’ll evaluate temperament, your household dynamic, and your goals. Together, we’ll select the program that fits your lifestyle best.
What makes K9 Focus Training different from other trainers?
The difference lies in integration. I don’t just train dogs in isolation; I train families to speak dog. My programs weave structure into daily life so that results last long after the lesson ends.
Do you work with dogs that have reactivity or fear issues?
Yes. Rehabilitation is one of my specialties. I work with fearful, anxious, or reactive dogs using calm structure, controlled exposure, and guidance at the dog’s pace.
What is included in the training packages?
Each package includes private lessons, customized homework, owner coaching, and progress check-ins. Programs may also include public outings, enrichment, or specialty work.
What are Enrichment & Adventure Sessions?
These sessions are intentional, structured experiences for dogs while families are at work or busy with daily responsibilities.
Do you train service dogs or protection dogs?
Yes — at the foundation level. I prepare dogs with public access manners, obedience, and focus, then guide families toward certification through appropriate channels.
How long will it take for my dog to be trained?
Training is a journey, not a quick fix. Progress depends on the dog’s history, temperament, and the family’s consistency.
Do you offer training for multiple dogs in one household?
Yes. Multi-dog households require tailored structure so each dog understands expectations without confusion.
What are your policies on scheduling and cancellations?
Professional courtesy is important. Sessions are reserved specifically for your family and must be honored.
